This website is home to the work of UK people and pet portrait artist Peter James Shepheard.  Here you will find the most unique gift available for any occasion, and the most beautiful and heartfelt way to show your love of another.  

A hand painted/drawn portrait is the ideal way to capture a special moment, whether it be weddings, graduations or any event.  More personal than any photograph, a portrait can bring all your loved ones to your room, even when they are away.

A portrait can also be a loving way to commemorate those who have loved and passed, as it can help cement that indelible mark they have had on your life, and those around you.  A beautiful way to celebrate a life.

Portraiture has been my passion for as long as I can remember.  Although I delight in recreating a likeness, to capture a little of the spirit of a sitter (whether they be a person, or a treasured pet) is the true goal with every portrait I produce.  

I hope that the love and care I invest in every painting is apparent to the recipient.  It is a constant source of joy to me, to receive messages from those who have received a portrait, and feel that it touches them in a way their loved one has always done.
